Applying to Project Understanding

Project Understanding has a 2-part application process.  First, a rabbi, priest, or clergy member must first nominate students. Clergy members receive application forms in late May or early June. The prospective nominee must complete an application and write a short essay about why they would like to be a part of Project Understanding.  All nominees will go through an interview process, which will take place in September or October, 2018. The Jewish students will be interviewed by our Catholic leaders and the Catholic students by the Jewish leaders. 12 students are chosen for their enthusiasm, communication skills and proven leadership ability. Being active in their church, synagogue or school is a plus.
